This day sucks!

OK, so today has just sucked rocks... slimy puss covered rocks! This morning I was all psyched thinking I'd go home do chores and then run to salt lake but nooooooooooooooooooooooooooo things were not to be. First I got off almost an hour late and then everything that could possibly go wrong is! So I get home and go out to milk and there is a boer cross doe dead, she of course has two kids who are about 3 weeks old and are wanting NOTHING to do with that plastic thing I keep trying to convince them will give them milk! Then I find a togg doe who somehow has manipulated herself like a contortionist and is stuck in a fence. I should have taken a picture because there is really no way to explain how badly she was bent up and stuck but there she was. Apparently she'd been there awhile as she had a nice berry pile going on behind her. So I hunt up the bolt cutters and cut her out and then the rest of the does escape while I'm doing it and I have to chase all their butts down once I get the fence rebuilt. Grrrrr. At first the doe wouldn't get back up but now after some gentle persuasion she is standing. mostly on three legs but still standing! well anyhow, so then I go out to feed the calves and colt's calf has scours... bad scours... ARRRRRRRRRGH. He's still eating well so hopefully we can keep him hydrated and get him over them. Well then our horned heifer decided to calve.. good good... oh wait... not good SHE HATES IT!! absolutely and totally hates the baby. She would actually like nothing better then to skewer it on her horns and toss it out of the pen I think. So now we apparently have yet another bottle calf. I think that's actually all for now... well except the milk shed door broke when I took all the buckets back in there and the freakin wind won't stop blowing and I think one of our toggs is in labor. Have I mentioned this day sucks.
