ok so....

I missed 25 days sue me. :-)

Christmas is over! YAY! Todd is still home on the family medical leave act for his knee but he is supposed to be going back to work on Sunday. The kids then go back to school on Monday and I honestly don't know how I feel about all that. Sure Todd going back to work is a good thing but I kinda like having him home... Most of the days I'm not home but we have had a couple of days this month where we were both home and it was just kind of nice chilling out and relaxing doing pretty much nothing. Sure we had to do chores when the kids were gone with Grandma but even that wasn't too bad. As for the kids, I like having them around. I don't feel bad at all when school is out and they aren't kept occupied in educational pursuits. But again most of the time I'm at work so I'm not home anyway so they may as well go back to school.

Christmas was a small affair this year but good... I think. We got a new tv as a family present mainly because our old one decided to give up the ghost and croaked. It was a bad month all around, the TV died, the microwave died, and my mixer started smoking and burnt up. So the family got a tv, Todd got a microwave (aint he just the lucky guy) and I got a mixer. Colt got a few things he asked for, Tia got a few things she didn't ask for (but she never did ask for anything so she can't complain) and the dogs got dog treats.

Tia's birthday came and went before Christmas and she got the one thing she'd been craving for months... 6 months worth of texting. ha ha ha. may not sound like a big thing but they have to pay their own way on their phones and she's been without text for quite some time now so the $120 worth of texting was good news to her. Colt got her the comics she covets so hopefully the day was alright. If I ever download stuff off my camera I'll add a picture of the present cake she got.

Ummmm what else. Not to much. Work, work and more work. Although I am off most weekends now! woohoo. This saturday we are hoping to go watch Jason BMX race. I've wanted to for months though so I'm not holding my breath but hopefully it will happen this time. us getting there that is... he has raced alot. we've just never made it.

So ok, I missed a couple of days. I am sure there is a really good reason for it... ummmm... can't think of what that might be right now but there you go. So yesterday Todd had yet another surgery on his knee. this one was relatively minor as far as Todd and surgery goes so he is already hobbling around and should be as good as new before long. Ok, maybe not as good as new but as good as he gets for the time being. Right now he is lounging on the couch, drinking his knee with the ice water thingamahober machine on his knee. Tomorrow I am going back to work.. thank goodness and then Friday we go to Provo to see the doctor yet again. blah blah blah. That's really about it. Hope all my loyal readers... oh wait there aren't any.. Hope everyone out there in the interwebs have a great night.

Its a record I tell ya.

Well I have nothing very exciting to post. my first day of being a year older was a very "shitty" day... literally. I am very much hoping that this is not a sign of the year to come. I woke up, went to work, came home. Oh yes, I did force one of my employees to cover the entire dry erase board wall in our conference room with inspirational quotes... ok, with a few (read a lot of) BYU sucks things added in for good measure. I forsee Rhea getting blamed for it! hee hee. I told the employee I needed her help with a project. Everyone knows my handwriting! I couldn't do it alone :-) that's about it. Whew exciting.

Wow.... I suck..

at this whole updating thing. I don't know why but I must get better at it :-) It is thanksgiving weekend so today we went Christmas tree hunting. The wiley elusive beasts almost got away from us but in the end we got em. Mwah ha ha. They just didn't run fast enough :-) Thanksgiving itself was laid back and nice. Dinner was great as usual. Its always nice just chilling out with the extended family. Bring on New Years when they'll all be back! YAY!

Green Day! WooHoo

So I actually do have one thing to blog about but I didn't want to do it in the other post! Tia and I went to see Green day a couple weeks ago. it was FanFreakingTastic!! We got there at 5 am so we could be at the head of the line and then things turned out so disorganized and chaotic that I was kind of perturbed. We switched lines to get a closer entrance to the stage and then hoped that they truly were opening all the doors at once :-) they did! and we ended up on the rail again. We are getting good at that . So I stole a picture off the internet that shows the two of us at the concert and will post it here. Can you see us? huh huh huh? The concert itself was awesome. what a show. we only had one incident with a person I about had to fight with and the rest was all good.. woohoo!

Ok, so its been a looooong loooooong time since I blogged :-0 as a matter of fact I totally forgot about this blog until a week or so ago and then I suddenly remembered. of course none of the blogs I used to stalk had been updated. But or course now Tia has beat me to the updating! I really can't think of anything to say though... did I work at the care center last time I blogged? heck I can't even remember when the last time I blogged was! oh well I updated so there you go

Ok, so the past few months have not been very good on the blogging front.. hee hee.
I really have no excuse that is not lame. I can't even blame the WHOLE thing on farmtown because I've only been playing that game for a few weeks. so lets see my last post was a happy birthday to Todd, so that means all of March was left out. poor poor March. SHAZAM! I just remembered what is to blame for my lack of attention.. my laptop died! a miserable horrible permanent, my graphics card is fried, death! oh wait that was only a week ago. It seems like soooo much longer. Ok, so I should be in bed but Hey I updated and I'll get on it and actually say what happend in March and April in a few short days... weeks... months... hell who knows when.

So Tia moaned and groaned about me not updating the blog and lo and behold she hasn't updated hers either. Of course she's probably waiting for the fab party pics which I have not yet gotten off my camera yet. Hmmm.. yep that could be it. Nothing Much going on. oh yea... HAPPY VALENTINES DAY... yesterday. ha ha ha

Todd and I have now officially been married for 17 years. Hey that's a long time anymore. Today we had our traditional breakfast, steak and eggs the I had to go to work. I got off a bit after 7 tonight, came home then we went out to our traditional dinner at the loft... all four of us. We have ALWAYS taken the kids out on Valentines/Anniversary with us. I think its a holiday for our whole family not just Todd and I because you know it is the Anniversary of the start of our family :-) first it was Todd and I then 10 short months later Tia appeared then about a year and a half later Colt appeared. 17 years later here we are. After dinner we came home and played RockBand then random internet stuff while watching tv and now I should be sleeping but I'm not. I was lying on the couch with my head agaist Tia and I fell asleep but then she woke me up because her laptop was dying. Rude. she should have just sat there and let me sleep. Now I can't sleep again. what was she thinking! just kidding. kind of.

Tomorrow we are going to Provo to do a little grocery shopping and to buy Colt some shoes. apparently we are also buying shotgun shells so the boys can go goosehunting with the Gates men in a couple of weeks. We will probably also have lunch somewhere... I'm hoping for Chinese... Mmmmmm Chinese! Of course I already ate way to much today but I guess it going to be a eat way to much weekend and then I'll go back to being good again. My being good is not helping but hey it makes me feel better.

My week..

*grin* ok, so I have not been very productive this week! I have been off since ummm Wednesday and have not been getting much accomplished. I did do laundry, not that you'd notice now and had good plans to clean the house but it didn't get done. I did get the Milk Shed cleaned out today and Colt and Todd fixed my electrical problems so that I am ready for Tinker to kid if she so desires. I do have a couple of things left to put away out there but I'm done for the most part. I am however hoping that she was just being a slut and didn't really get bred that day back in September. I actually wouldn't mind if noone decided to kid until April. Yeah April. that would be good. I know it won't happen though. After Tinker our next does are due in a couple weeks so again I'm ready but still hope they were all just being slutty.

Bella has been full of teenage angst lately. I have no idea what's up with her but she's making me crazy! she better get over it.

Last night we had a family party .Our family parties have gotten much much more interesting lately . Wes and Brandon brought their band gear again. unfortunately they lost their guitarist and haven't found a new one yet so it was mainly drums and Bass with a tiny bit of guitar and keyboard. Was still great fun and turned into one heck of a party. All boobers friends kept showing up to go along with the various family members. One guy was telling me that he and his wife went into town to the bar and there was noone in there so they started calling around to find out where everyone was and found out they were at our shindig so they came out too. Tia and I did our designated driver routine and then Colt and I went home about 2:30am. Todd had came home earlier as he had to work this morning and Tia stayed over with the cousins. Apparently the music went on until 4 am or so. In all it was fun, there are a couple people in our family group that needs to learn that you do not have to keep drinking until your totally toasted. Jeff passed out early, got a bit of creative pranking done to him and then ended up wetting his pants as he lay there on the bench.. what the crap! It would have been alot less worse if two of his kids hadn't been present. Ok, actually I think the older one can handle it fine its the little one that shouldn't have seen his dad that way. Then there's Boober, who starts out all good but just needs to learn when to quit.

My kids are getting a good education on how not to act and seem to find it hilarious watching people being total idiots. I just hope they actually learn from it and don't want to be the ones being idiots. Mom and I have decided we need to make barriers like they use at concerts to keep the general party people away from the band equipment next time! drunk people near all that equipment just makes me nervous.

I guess that's it. I will soon post a new message that has some of the party pix on it.

I am sick of dreaming while I sleep. Is there a way to sleep without having dreams? I'm not much of a pill person but I'm thinking I might take one to quit having stupid dreams. especially the last while. I spent seemingly all last night (and many nights before) trying to find someone. Someone who in real life is dead and wanted nothing other then to pretend I didn't exist while still living. well they ignore me in my dreams too as I fruitlessly keep trying to find them to know why, only to have them keep not wanting to be found and just missing them. what the hell. I came to terms with it in my waking hours (not like there is anything I could do about it anyhow) but why the hell do I seem obsessed with finding out why in my sleep. Newsflash to subconscious self YOUR NEVER GOING TO KNOW, so get the hell over it!

Ok, so as much as I thought I wouldn't have anything to blog about for a few days I was wrong. I'm going to talk a bit about my job and what it makes me think about.... I have actually enjoyed my new job. It makes me sore and tired by the end of the shift but I have liked working around the older people there and enjoy talking to them. BUT they also make me sad. most of them have very few visitors and some NEVER have visitors. Some of the aren't quite all there and probably don't even notice but then there are others who are sweet, alert, semi active(compared to the others) old people who just seem so lonely and no one comes to see them :-( It makes me feel even worse that I don't think we visited Todd's Grandpa nearly enough when he was in the care center. we tried to see him once a week but seriously is that enough? He also had other visitors but still . anyhow, We all must remember to take time for the old people in our lives! REMEMBER! (Tia, I am NOT talking about me either so SHUDDUP... well at least not yet!)

Oh Wait....

I just remembered something! It's almost February do you have your taxes done? I almost do. need to print them off , recheck them and then see the accountant. yay! MAYBE yay that is. Here's to hoping we don't have to PAY taxes! Doh!

I'm even more boring then before!

Who'da thought THAT was possible!! :-) There hasn't been anything to write since I started work because I go to work, I come home, I go to bed, I sleep, I repeat in the morning. Boring enough for you? I figure if that's all there is to write that I can just write that once a week! So here is my post, I work every day until Tuesday so unless something interesting happens I probably won't update until at least then. Honestly I can think of NOTHING to write! so so sad, I can't even go on rambling for no reason. *smile* so I guess that is this weeks update. Hope your all having a glorious and lovely week!

Egads, I think I'm old

Ok, so this new job makes me sore! holy moly, I would have thought all my lugging hay bales around, doing chores etc woulda helped but guess what. I SO apparently didn't do much bending, squatting etc. I get to the end of my shift and fill like I've been run over by a truck or something. I actually have no idea if I even came close to having everything done tonight when I left. The residents rooms were clean (although now that I think back I distinctly remember a rag I left in someones room.. not sure whose room either! OOPS) the dining halls got done and the garbages all got emptied from everywhere and the floors got machine scrubbed. hopefully I didn't forget anything to darn serious.

In about two weeks or so we could have baby goats. I'm actually hoping she was just being a hussy that day and didn't really get bred for that early because I am so not wanting kids in this weather. speaking of the weather...

It was pretty nice all weekend. it rained here and there but it was warm outside and everything melted and even alot of the mud was going away then it started to rain yesterday then last night it snowed and snowed AND SNOWED! DOH! this morning it was cold and there was a good 5 or so inches of snow I trudged through to do chores. blah. Oh well, it is only January still but I'd really like it to be spring.

Well that's about it. My life consists of working and then working and uh working. hahahahaha I am off tomorrow though YAH! I may clean Colt's room... or not.

this is my first post HI

another day.. another dollar..

I hope! hee hee. So today was my third day at work and you know I really don't mind it at all. I'm still sore... ai yi yi. I don't notice while at work though, I only notice once I get home and sit down for a short while then I get up and its like.. doh! I feel old. OH NO! maybe its the old people rubbing off on me! :-0 I actually enjoy being around the old people. Most of them are really nice and the only problem is is they'd like to talk and talk and talk to you and you have to get your work done and can't just visit with them. So for now my work is going well, at least I think it is. Maybe noone else does and I will find out later I suck but for now I will keep my happy thoughts and yet be glad I have the next three days off to recover.

my eyes are doing well also. I went and had them looked at by the local eye doctor who is going to comanage them with hoopes and he says they look great and I can see! YAY! I still missed a couple on the 2o/20 line while looking at them with one eye at a time but I could read it fine when looking with both eyes at once. YAY!

What else? Hmmm.. not alot. This weekend I need to go to somewhere with real stores and buy some scrubs for work. There is supposed to be a goat meeting but who the crap knows whats going on with that. that's about it. Today it rained! YUCK. I do like it only because it makes me think of spring, but now it will get freaky cold and all freeze and it will be a icy nasty mess. If however it would like to just be spring that would be lovely.

I'm tired...

Ok, so apparently I have don't done near enough bending and squatting lately! I am sore (and tired) and it didn't even seem like I was doing all that much but after 8 hours of cleaning up after old people I be tuckered out. I'm hoping that this means I can go shower and the fall asleep! I think the job will be good. Of course today was only the first day and tomorrow may be totally different but we'll see. So far I'm pretty sure its something I can handle and not mind at all. Though I must say I'd still rather be cooking :-)

I am off to shower and hit the hay.

Seriously Tia's hair is purple! But it changes depending on the light! But i swear its purple.. the dye was manic panic ultra violet.. it looks totally purple at our house and out in the sun, but it looked totally blue today at volleyball. what the heck I say, what the heck! here is a pic from my canon, its the closest one that looks like it thought of being purple.. the kodak looks really really blue! grrrrrrrrrr its a cool purple too. grrrr I say

Today is a bright sunny day

This morning was colder then snot but it turned into a nice day. Even after hauling hay it was still a nice day :-) My eyeballs are still working well with no problems (yay!) Colt bought me lunch, AND I got a job! YAY!! I haven't started yet though. I start tomorrow morning YAY! It has driven me crazy not having a job. We'll see how it goes. I am excited though. I may not be after tomorrow. *grin* just kidding.

Anyhow, I am now off to do laundry.. YAY. NOT

No eye ooze..

I'm home and guess what I can see. mostly. I had the Lasik one yesterday afternoon and things were pretty foggy and weird last night but today they seem to be doing pretty good. I have to put drops in about nine jillion times a day and sleep for awhile in these sleep glasses things so that I don't accidentally rub my eyes while sleeping but things look like they'll be good. I sure hope so!

eye ooze and various other things...

So tomorrow is the big eye day. After tomorrow I will either see alot better OR I will be blind with eye ooze running down my face like in the dream . I'm hoping for the seeing better. Now THAT would be awesome! I've worn glasses for... ummmmmmmmmmmmmm.... 23 or so years. yuck. I'll be glad to have them hopefully gone. So anywho, that's the big thing in my life at the moment. waiting for tomorrow afternoon to come.

Today was a beautiful day. a tad cold, but not too bad. Does that mean spring is coming? After watching the news and all their bad air crap, I am glad we live here where the air is relatively clear and you can breathe when your outside.

well I really don't have much else to say. I think I will watch the Simpsons and then go shower and hope I can fall asleep. Sleep has been a rare commodity lately, don't know if I mentioned that before but yeah.. blah.

Ok, so I looked up eyeball parts to see if there was anything in there that could ooze and here is what I found.... "The vitreous is a gel-like substance that fills the middle of your eye between the lens and the retina. It is made almost completely of water, with a small amount of protein. Normally the vitreous is clear, and light passes through it to your retina allowing good vision." so see my dreams of ooze coming out could happen! not likely but it could. :-p

A good day

So not only did I sleep last night but I have our taxes 99% ready for the accountant. Now, most people would say big whoop, throw the forms in the folder and go but we have a farm thus I have to sort and arrange and file and organize about ten billion things before it goes to him. But now I am almost done! YAY! now watch it will take me forever to find the 3 receipts that I KNOW are missing... where did I put them.. Grrrrr

bad thing. I am not a bit tired right now, which means that it may be 10:30 at night but somehow I don't think I'm going to sleep any time soon! URGH.

Oh yes and Tia informed me that my eyeball would not oooze gooey stuff out, a round hard thing might come out but not ooze. alright! I'm looking up eyeball parts. :-)

I slept!

YAHOOO! I fell asleep sometime just after 11 and only woke up a couple of times and each time was able to go right back to sleep! I did have some very whacked out dreams but hey, beggars can't be choosers.

Now I'm all rested up for taxes. yay! not

Yep, that's what day it is. It was yet another delightful fun awe inspiring day in the life of me. Ok, not really. about the most adventure I had today was not letting the turtles bite me while I was messing with their tank. I did play DDR yet again, its an addiction I tell you, and tomorrow I will have to change my calorie goal because it now only takes about 35 minutes to hit my old target so tomorrow I will add another 100 calories to it and see how that goes.

I'm Tired. very very tired. Yet, the great thing I call a brain won't let me sleep at night. Last night was another lie awake and not sleep time. I didn't see 4 am again though, fell asleep sometime after 3. not sure when after 3 but that's when I quit looking over at the clock. I'm sure it wasn't 4 yet though. blah. I did however sleep until Colt got up this morning to go fishing and then went back to sleep until 9:30 so hey, I got almost 6 hours this morning, thats a record for the week.

I did get my taxes started. If I put my mind to it I could probably have them finished tomorrow. Now that would be record. Our accountant doesn't do taxes until after Feb first but we could be there feb second. *grin*

This Friday I am supposed to be having lasik surgery. URGH. Ok, I will start off by saying I have been wanting to do it FOREVER but Todd always had a pending surgery upcoming. Well this winter he does not so its finally my turn. I did all the tests and I'm a candidate and we have the appointment and its all good to go.... and now I'm nervous. Doh! I just have this thing about things being close to my eyes and now I am going to have them sliced open flopped back and all around messed with! so what if its all done by laser! What if I end up blind! what if the circle doesn't heal and one day all the goo in the middle of my eye comes oozing out all over the damn place? what then huh? Ok, so I'm sure it will all be fine and I did resolve to be more optimistic this year but just like 99% of all new years resolutions I'm breaking mine! ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh eyeball ooze!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's the Weekend! and "DDR"

yay! still no sign of Spring but at least its not as cold as it has been.

Today is apparently Wednesday because I am starting on our taxes and wasn't that what I was going to do Wednesday? The kids are out doing chores now and then we shall have breakfast and sometime we will play DDR, probably before breakfast. Do you know what DDR is? Dance Dance Revolution, which I will sheepishly admit I have become addicted too! Every morning after chores I come in the house, put Bella out to play with Aggie and give in to an hour of playing DDR. By the end of the hour and I am hot, sweaty and sore. DOH! But its fun, so the hot and sweaty part is a bonus as I've been needing to get inspired to get up and excercise every day, the sore part I'm hoping goes away! I am having problems sleeping at night, I lie there and think instead of sleeping, so at 3 this morning I was sitting in the recliner thinking "Hmmm... I wonder if I'd wake up the whole family if I played DDR" hee hee. Beings as our house is tiny, I'm pretty sure I would have, so I refrained. what a long boring night it was. but anyway, its great fun everyone should try it... when noone else is looking to laugh their butts off at you anyhow!

Another thing I learned this morning in my ritual "before chores blog reading" (lurking really since the people I actually KNOW with blogs never write on them, so I just lurk on peoples I don't know) is that it is National De-Lurking week. Your supposed to actually leave a comment instead of lurking but I'm going to say that only applies to those blogs that know and acknowledge its National de-lurking week. see now I don't have to leave a comment on the rest! So my two readers quit lurking and leave a comment.. that means you Tia.

Speaking of lurking. Isn't it strange how people do that? me included. I mean really you don't know these people yet its like a television show and you can't wait to see the next episode. I keep thinking one of these days all the witty blogs will rub off on me and mine will get interesting but honestly I don't see that happening any time soon. Of course then there are the ones that you only read every day knowing that their lives CAN'T be that perfect and your just waiting for the one day they say shove it and blog about whats really going on in their world instead of just the good stuff. Oh well, back to lurking... after DDR, Breakfast and taxes of course

Its Sunday Sunday Sunday...

Ok, so generally Sunday is really no different a day for me then any other day, I did used to work all day on Sunday but not anymore. This Sunday is different.. the holidays are officially over! Sad! The kids have to go back to school tomorrow and Todd goes back to work and that means I have to do something constructive. Maybe I'll start on taxes. Ok, probably not. Todd will actually be home until the afternoon when he goes to start up the boiler at work. It won't be until Wednesday that I'm actually home alone all day long. THEN I will start the taxes. *grin*

So today the boys went ice fishing... CRAZY!!! it was freaking cold today but to each their own I guess. Tia and I stayed home slept in. Ok, kind of slept in. I woke up at 4 am "again" and couldn't sleep. I did lay back down and fell asleep about 8 and slept until 10.

well anyway, so we got up, Tia did chores and then we messed with her hair. We did learn that it is VERY hard to bleach out Black dyed hair! the initial idea was to bleach most of her hair and color it blue and leave the bangs black. sort of a reverse of how we used to do her hair. Yeah, it didn't work. I tried to tell her we should wait until after her haircut on Wed but she wanted to do it before going back to school so we did. Now it is a weird technicolor thing. black, blonde, blue with a touch of copper highlights. It is kinda cool actually. the roots are awesome!

The boys got back from fishing, they got 3 fish. It was amazing their timing. they got home right after I was getting back from the dump and chores were finished. Hmmm.... they are good. We've been watching NCIS since. Ok so now we are watching the news cause its about time to go to sleep! yay, sleep.

Happy 2nd day of 2009!

Ok, so we've had Christmas and we've had New Years can we have Spring now? I'm ready! awwww c'mon, it would be goooooood. It was actually pretty nice outside yesterday. We went and picked up the three goats from the walk in cooler and got them all ready for the freezer so didn't go out and do anything fun in the halfway decent weather but hey it was still there. Today was COLD! and windy! blah. I actually think I'd rather have the cold then the windy. I guess it wasn't as cold as it seemed though as the wind melted more snow and made more mud but whatever. Today I didn't do a whole lot, put goat summer sausage on the smoker, slow BBQ'd a beef roast off the steer we picked up from the packer on Tuesday and tried like hell to find a tiny bit more space in our freezers for everything! There is no room left! We have the HUGE chest freezer, the smallish upright freezer and then the bottom freezer on the fridge full to bursting. We may end up on a all meat diet! Oh Tia will love that! We are supposed to take another steer in to be killed the end of this month but there is no way. we are just going to have to sell him and that's fine with me. I spent the rest of the day watching NCIS. Did I mention the DVD's came four down 25 to go. mwah ha ha. Now we are going to once again get our trash kicked by Colt in Halo. Doh! Gotta go they are starting... AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Ok, I'm back. So he doesn't quite totally trash us anymore. I did get 9 kills before he hit the 25 kill target, so maybe there is hope if we keep ganging up on him we may beat him one day.... maybe.

for real this time. I thought about blogging at 3 o'clock this morning when we got home but then I decided to just go to bed. It was a fun night. Didn't really get started until about 9 o'clock but was still going on when we left at almost 3. We did make sure everyone who was not sleeping over got a ride home so they wouldn't drive before we left, so we are good children. :-) Anyhow, the band played almost all the time once they got set up. they sounded good, the vocals were hard to hear but the music itself sounded good. There was lots to eat and drink and then at midnight there were fireworks. Now there is probably a huge jumble of people sleeping it off everywhere in Mom's house! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh my house is quiet. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh everyone here is "sleeping it off too" but none are sleeping off the effects of alcohol. just a late night. I slept in until 9 but then woke up and not able to sleep any longer. which is ok. I think I'll go get dressed and do chores for the kidlets and then watch NCIS until they wake up. Yes I said NCIS because THEY CAME! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY they were in the mailbox yesterday afternoon. If we didn't have to cut up the goats hanging in the cooler today I would have a NCIS marathon I tell ya. Well now that its ten o'clock I am going to head outside.
