Ok, so really I haven't gone anywhere to be back from but I have been a slacker on this blog. I will say though I have not been as big a slacker as the Gates family antics blog. Now THERE is a slacker for you. tsk tsk tsk Ok, back on track and to the Sunday update:
It's the last day of the month! what the crap happened??? The State Fair starts in a few short days and I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO not ready! The goats are ready enough but that's about it. Oh well, things will fall into place that have to and the rest I will once again vow to work on over the winter (and won't) and have ready next year (yeah right).
What else is going on you say? ummmmmmmmm... not alot. The kids have gone back to school and I miss them during the day. They will say I only miss being able to make them do work, but seriously children, How much work did you get accomplished this summer? I think we got nuttin done! what the heck did we do with ourselves! We got our first crop of hay up off our baby hay field. YAY! We dwindled the cow herd down to the 3 old cows again, 2 steers we will kill in the spring, 1 steer who is a joint thing between the lovely Carl man and us who will be killed in a couple months and then the two baby heifers windy and daisy. It's kind of weird not having the whole herd out there anymore but nice. especially nice until our baby hay is producing more and/or we get a real fence up at the farm for the cows to pasture behind.
We, or rather I, have also come to the decision that we are finally truly getting out of Nubians. I know, I know I keep saying that but can't seem to cut the final ties. This time its really going to happen. I'm even going to place tinkerbelle, the old lady. 3 breeds and the occasional grade are plenty to be getting on about. I'm quite into the consolidate and make life easier thing at the moment. Ok, so actually we will still have a few meat goats but their numbers are going to stay fairly low for awhile also. Keep enough to make Colt some market kids and have a few for us to eat.
The kids each sold a 3 year old calvey cow and Tia has spent a good chunk of her money already! She does have a lovely very nice laptop now to show for it. Now I'm waiting for her "Sim's" fixation to wear off! Colt on the other hand is currently holding onto his money and is planning to use it for Scuba stuff. I think he will have great fun learning Scuba, he is such a fish in the water.
Wednesday, Tia's long awaited guitar lessons start. She bought her guitar with her State Fair money last year and we have been waiting and waiting trying to get her into lessons that we wouldn't have to drive hours for and finally the lady I was told was very good had a opening. YAY!! Hopefully Tia likes it as much as she thinks she is going to.
Well I can't think of anything else right this second so I am off to pretend like I'm working! wooohoooo

The weekly update! Tia style! =D
Yeah so Tia style really isn't different, just has less information and is not very descriptive.... AND I use a whole bunch of Enters. But whatever. *shrugs*
So..... On Thursday my wonderful madre and myself went on an adventure and ended up in Logan for a few days. While there she judged goats and I..... Well I pretty much just sat around and talked.... Wait! I did fill up those one papers for Tauna! Woooo! Go Tia!
We then were home on Sunday. well kinda... Mom was at work all day and DIDN'T UPDATE! Dad was also at work and then he did stuff at the farm. Colt and I were celebrating Boobers birthday at our grandparents house. Oh yeah.
THEN we were off again on Monday! First to the school to register and then to Farmington to show goats.... Colt and mom showed goats... I was behind the scenes preventing goat suicide and starvation!
Thursday and Friday we were home.
And then I left again on Saturday. To a cabin hidden in the mountains!
And now I'm home again, and dreading school tomorrow... DDDDD= Where did summer go?!
And that was our week! ....Am I missing anything?

The weekly update....
Ok, so here we are at another Sunday and I shall update what we are doing. first we are being the worlds most BORING bloggers! yep. that one is so true. other then that not to much going on. I already got ratted on about breaking the car. Todd and I was coming home from dog class with Bella Tuesday night and hit a tread off a semi. It looked like an ENTIRE tread. the car didn't like it. Willie had to come rescue us and give us a ride home and now the car is in the shop. blah. beyond that its been a typical week, working, chore, shaving goats for the upcoming show etc etc. This next week is going to be busy! School registration is Tuesday as is dog class, then Thursday Tia and I head to Logan to judge at their county fair Friday (booooo hiss! I don't particularly like judging) but I like seeing Tauna and Bruce! Then we come home and get ready for the show we head off to the next Monday. which means we have to keep clipping goats this week also. blah. we should just go to lagoon and skip the show!

Hey!
It is the curse of the veggie dogs I swear!
It could have been worse, although I wish to never see another tread off a semi again! there's only a little damage to the front bumper, which is of course made of plastic so has to be replaced. the splash guards underneath are kinda muffed up too... oh and the radiator, ac compressor and transmission oil cooler are toast. but that's about it.
Dear Sweet Tia, next time you can drive!
